What Chatonaut is

A tool for answering messages on the three channels where small businesses get them.

Connect Instagram, Telegram or the chat on your website. Draw the conversation once as a flow, then hand the rest to an AI agent that answers from your own materials. Everything people send you lands in one inbox, and your team picks up the conversations that need a human.

We built it for people who sell and support in chat: a shop taking orders under its Instagram posts, a service answering the same five questions on its site, anyone running a Telegram bot. None of it needs a developer—a flow is blocks on a canvas, and the website chat is one script tag. If you have one, the public API and webhooks take it further.

The part we do differently is saying no. Every channel here works the way the platform allows, so a few features you’ve seen elsewhere are missing on purpose. We’d rather write a limit down now than have you hit it on the day it matters.

What we don’t promise

No bulk messages to Instagram followersMeta doesn’t open that door to anyone. You can answer a person for 24 hours after they write to you, and for 7 days after they leave a comment—that’s the whole window, for us and for every other tool.
No WhatsAppIt’s not part of the product. We’d rather say so here than call it “coming soon” and let you find out during setup.
No integrations with outside CRMsWe have a public API and webhooks, so a developer can move data wherever you keep it. Ready-made connectors don’t exist yet.
No mobile appChatonaut runs in a browser, on a phone as well as a laptop.

What’s inside

One account runs all three channels, and everything below comes with it.

Three channels

On Instagram: comments under posts and reels, a direct message in reply to a comment, story mentions, a keyword funnel, ice breakers and a menu in the chat.

Telegram adds buttons, broadcasts and /start links that drop a person into the right branch. The website chat is your own widget: your colours, proactive cards and requests your team tracks until they close.

Flows and the AI agent

Three kinds of block on one canvas: a message, a condition that splits the path, and an action—save an answer, tag a contact, call a human.

Whatever the flow doesn’t cover, the AI agent answers from your knowledge base. When it can’t, it says so and hands the chat to your team instead of guessing.

One inbox, your team

Instagram, Telegram and the website chat arrive in the same list. Invite colleagues by email and give each one a role: admin or operator. When someone asks for a person, the bot holds the conversation until an operator picks it up.

How we make money

You pay us for the software. That’s the whole model.

Free stays free: up to 50 new conversations a month and one flow on all three channels, no card needed. Plus is $15 a month and lifts those limits. Premium is $29 a month and adds the AI agent, with 500 AI replies included. You can try Premium free for 3 days, once per account.

We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising. That’s not just a line on an About page—it’s written into the privacy policy, next to the list of everyone who handles data on our behalf.
